This was a cake for our Pastor Appreciation day. I was inspired by a CCer, apieceofcake, with the ribbon roses. Thanks to everyone for their input on which style to use. Had a little trouble with the MMF. It was so terribly humid. Everyone loved the cake though, top layer carrot with cream cheese, second vanilla with apple peach preserves and third chocolate with strawberry cream. This was a great learning experience. TFL!
I'm trying to figure out which one is best. So far my family has their favorite but I'd like to get the opinions of the pros. Any suggestions which ones is the nicest design?
Made these cupcakes for a friend who loves peaches. Used Indydebi's buttercream, love it, and filled the cupcake with my homemade peach preserve. Cake has a hint of nutmeg. Fondant peach decoration. Glad I had to give them away because I could have eaten the whole batch. TFL!
Helped a mom of the birthday boy make this toy truck cake. We sculpted the truck on top out of cake and RKT. Bottom cake is vanilla with chocolate bc. Honey cracker crumbs for the dirt and bc for the grass. Sign is RKT covered with fondant. Had so much fun helping the mom do this one. Also check out the picture of the toy truck that we modeled it after. Sorry it's fuzzy, but you can get the idea. TFL!
Made this cake for two sisters, one turning 3, the other 4. Made this cake before I joined this site, similar to others here, great minds think alike I guess...lol. Chocolate cake with cookies n cream bc. Real candy for decorations. TFL!

My first wedding cake ever. Also first time trying the quilted pattern. Used the small three diamond cutter. Bride wanted black fondant ribbon instead of real ribbon. Used buttercream for a finished feathered look. 1st layer - vanilla with vanilla bc 2nd layer citrus with chocolate bc 3rd chocolate with orange bc 4th vanilla with vanilla bc. Bride and groom wanted variety. Thanks for looking.
Very first fondant cake I ever did. Things were a bit rocky back then but I loved it just as much. Can't even remember what the cake was but it was for a friend so I'm sure it was chocolate. I'm surrounded by chocoholics!
