This is our cake for the Cake Central wedding issue..We had so much fun.. such an honor.
This was for my bff. I made it in ONE day!!! and had no rolling pin to roll out my fondant! It's all mmf and black candy clay branches. and it was super humid! But I still love how it turned out. Top tier is german chocolate w coconut caramel filling and ganache. middle tier is Red velvet cream cake w cream cheese frosting. and bottom tier is half dark chocolate layers and half white layers with raspberry pastry filling and dark chocolate ganache!! all from scratch.. all in one day! 12-9-6- and the tiers are all 5 inches tall!
claws are chocolate dusted with silver luster dust.
all mmf.. gumpaste flowers. it is hand painted with antique gold, but doesn't show up in the photo very well...
all mmf. the MW are the lady's initials
each tier is for a member of the family and they picked the theme..this was a fun concept.
had some major buttercream issues this day...it was over 100 degrees..but liked it nonetheless..
I loved, loved making this cake with my daughter... She helped with everything..hence the overload of flowers and butterflies.. She asked for a "Tinkerbell ballerina cake with butterflies and flowers" :)

Chocolate tastes so much better than gumpaste....so why not.. this was a super last minute cake.. SMBC, zebra sugar sheet and mmf flowers.
