Winnie The Pooh Camo Cake
This was for a friend's 8 year old son who LOVES Pooh. It was a strange request and I wasn't sure how it would turn out. It should probably go under cake disasters because the cake should have been camo but it looked more like marble (first time trying camo). I'm not thrilled with the finished product at all but she loved it and her son went crazy for it.

Nautical Themed Cake
Huge challenge for me. I used a beach bag as my inspiration for this cake. First time using fondant on ganache - I will never go back to buttercream. Chocolate cake with chocolate ganache covered in fondant. The details on the top of the cake are done with modeling chocolate (my first time ever using this too!).

My First Ever Fondant Cake!
This is the first fondant cake I ever made. It was a birthday cake for my boss whose birthday is on the 4th of July. After I made this cake, he asked me to make his wedding topper cake (he ordered Georgetown cupcakes instead of a wedding cake) and I promptly pooped my pants. :o) I did end up doing his wedding topper cake and almost had a heart attack delivering it into downtown DC.

Twin Birthday Cakes!
Although not identical twins. The person wanted two cakes for an 80th birthday cake. I tried hard to convince them how much prettier and cleaner the fondant would be, but in the end, they insisted on no fondant, except for the decoration on top. One is coconut cream cake with coconut buttercream and lemon filling, the other one is carrot cake with white chocolate orange cream cheese frosting. Can you guess which cake has the cream cheese frosting (It's 105 degrees here today)
