This was my first attempt at re-creating any type of team logo. I was not pleased with the way it came out. I cut it out with an exacto knife after tracing it onto wax paper. The lines did not look clean and smooth - any suggestions??
I made this skiing cake for my granddaughter's 9th birthday. She is so excited to go skiing this year. She loved the cake -- except she didn't like the fact the she was depicted as 'stuck' in a snow drift!!! LOL

A copy cat of a cake I made previously for an auction - this time for a friend's birthday. I wish I would have used a brighter green on the leaves but I was matching some plates & napkins!
I love, love, loved making this cake. I was inspired by many others on CC. But it is also my worst cake! I didn't get to give it to the little girl it was intended for! Her party was Saturday at 12:00. I did most of it on Friday night and was planning to finish it up on Saturday morning - but I got sick in the middle of the night and wound up in the hospital! :-( So sad that she didn't get to have the cake for her birthday party. They just had to pick one up at the grocery store. I finished it today and plan to take it to her tomorrow. Maybe she can just enjoy it with her family.
I made this cake for my grandson's birthday party with a 'Bubble' theme. I had planned to make the bottle of bubbles and bubble wand out of gum paste but just didn't have enough time. So I printed a label and just glued it over the original. He loved his bubble cake!

I hadn't used me cricut in a while - it didn't go too well. I was very frustrated with this cake! But the girl I made it for really liked it! I guess there is always a bright side!
I wanted to create the look I had seen done with ribbon on other cakes with fondant ribbons. I put the fondant ribbons on before I covered the cake - um... that didn't work too well! Next time I will cover the cake first! Still learning! :-) But I liked the over-all look!

I made this cake for a charity auction. I made my 'Wild Thing' cake for the auction too - but decided to make one that was a little more conservative for people who like things a little more 'normal'! I tried to make it so that it could be for a guy but it just looked so plain so I had to add the polka dots and flowers!!!
This bright colored cake is pink and orange zebra stripes on the bottom tier and cheetah print on the top tier. It is covered with wild vines and beautiful flowers. I made this cake for a charity auction!
I made this birthday cake for my friend's sons 1st Birthday. I am not sure if he likes Spongebob but his daddy does! LOL! I recently bought a Cricut Cake machine and used it for the lettering and some scallop detail on the sides of the cake. The pineapple house and Spongebob are RCT covered in fondant. All other decorations are made from marshmallow fondant. This cake was so much fun to make!!!
I made this cake for a baby shower. It was my first attempt at fondant. I was really worried about whether or not I could do it but was thrilled with the final results. There is a great video on Youtube on how make Winnie the Pooh and I just followed the same idea when creating Piglet. I made Winnie and Piglet several days in advance.
