Animal prints are a favorite of my Grandson's precious Girlfriend so I decided to make her a cake to reflect that. I saw a similar cake on Pinterest and, I'm sorry, but I don't know who to give credit to. Anyway, it's handpainted on fondant using gel colors and vodka. As an artist, I'm so excited to start to translate that practice onto my cakes. Thanks for looking.
The design was inspired by Colette Peters but I handpainted the poinsettias instead of using piping gel.
My daughter insists on my making a tipsy chocolate fruitcake every year. This year I decided to surprise her and baked it in a 6"x 3" pan, iced with chocolate ganache and covered in fondant. The decorations are inspired by one of the gorgeous 12 Cakes of Christmas on The Cake Blog.

Hostess gift for a Little Black Dress, Big Pink Drinks party. Invitation was in pink, black and lime green so the cake is on a lime green plate.
Spidey was gumpaste dressed in fondant.
