Two Tier Silver Wedding Cake
This was a rich fruit cake my mum made, I carved the top tier then marzipaned and fondonted it. It was for a display table with the theme silver wedding, Mum got suckered into doing the cake because hers always taste nice, but she doesnt decorate. We made mock ups with uncovered dummies and tissue paper flowers till mum liked the look of it.
Stained Glass And Figures
A compromise cake we ended up with a plain costco cake for which I made the decorations. The stained glass is melted boiled sweets.
Lee's Birthday Breakfast
A cake done for one of the staff at the Inversnecky, anyone want to guess what sort of stuff he spent his days cooking.
A christmas cake from a few years ago when the kids were going through a club penguin phase. The girls really enjoyed making their own penguins to go on it.
Cassie's Birthday Cake
a baby dragon made of 3 bowl cakes and fondant. The design is from a debbie brown book
An experiment to see if i could do a mini topsy turvy by cutting graduated circles from a sheet to minimise carving. Not a complete success (apart from anything else the kids appropriated the bottom ,3rd tier for their pudding before I got it covered). Didn't chill to firm so rather untidy, hence the frills.
A 4in dummy covered in white fondant then airbrushed the features are all fondant [black for the nose the rest white and airbrushed]. Done by my 14 yr old daughter who was given free rein once she had done the covering under supervision.
