Mardi Gras Cupcakes

I just used a knife to cut out masks from the fondant.

I made heart shaped fondant about 1/2 thick to put on the cake before I laid the pink on. I did the scalloped edge after it was on the cake. To enhance the quilted look, I used the ball tool to press in-between the hearts. I used fondant for everything except the roses on the necklace are royal icing.

Family Tree

I melted chocolate, butterscotch, cinnamon, and white chocolate chips for the hair. I used jelly bellys for the ears and nose. It works better when people have distinctive hair styles.

Graduation Cap Cake

I used 2 graham crackers for the top of the cap. I was in a hurry so you can see the bend under the fondant. :( The pan I was for a ball.
