The mother of the baptised child is a cake decorator herself. She requested if I can make her one since she will be busy with other preparations, I'm so glad I did. It turned out great. My first icing smile cake. GOt the final detail request from the mom a week before his bday. Really short notice. But I'm so thankful for the opportunity to serve Icing SMiles and the family who've been through a lot. The mother specifically requested for a buttercream icing with all the colors of Mickey Mouse theme. I've been fighting with humidity and rain but it's the best I can do ;) not perfect but I tried. Drove 2 hours to Children's Hospital to deliver the cake and got the chance to met the brave and strong willed birthday celebrant who is suffering from ALL (Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia). INitially,client wants a 11x9 scooby doo fondant cake. SHe called 4 days before delivery that she wants a Spiderman cake instead. Well, I already baked the 11x9 cake, so this is what I came out with. SHort notice is not really a good idea. WOrst, I had 3 cakes to finish the same week. She said she loved it, that's all that matters ;) TFL
