Pirate Ship Cake
After a failed attempt at making a pirate ship from cake, I decided to use a wooden ship that I hand painted before placing on this cake. I used a piece of wax paper underneath to protect the cake since it was food grade. The cake was banana with BC icing. I iced it white and painted it blue. The sand is brown sugar, the ammo barrels are root beer barrels. I purchased the cool treasure box candle and pirates, and then used royal icing to make the dots.

Luau
My grand daughter had the "luau" theme for her 2nd birthday and I made this cake for her. It was so easy! I just made some chocolate cake in a 9X13 pan, iced it in white icing and sprayed it with food paint to make it blue. I then used a lei around the outside edge to finish it off. I purchased a cake decoration kit from my local cake store and sprinkled brown sugar around for the sand.

Tombstone
This is a cake that I made last year for a friend of mine. It was a chocolate cake with buttercream icing. I iced it in white and then used food spray paint to color it green. I added some cool decorations I purchased at a local cake store and used crushed oreos for the dirt. I got great feedback from this cake! :)

Dora Topsy Turvy Cake
I made this for my grand daughters 3rd birthday. It was Dora themed and she wanted bright colors! It is a yellow cake with chocolate filling and buttercream icing. I colored the icing with food coloring and made the fuzzy balls from flower wire and decorative fluff balls. She LOVED it! This was my 1st attempt at a topsy turvy cake!

Welcome Home Cake
I made this cake for my son that has just come home from a 1 yr tour in Iraq. I also wanted to encompass the 4th of July which is why I added fireworks! It is devils food chocolate with bavarian cream filling and iced in buttercream. The flag, stars, banner, soldier and bag are constructed from fondant. This is my 6th cake!
