Pink and white cake with gumpaste sleepign ducky for a baby shower. I had to make it quickly because the weather was so HOT.
I made this cake for my daughter's Winter Wonderland birthday party. I piped the snowflakes with royal icing and placed them on the cake. (challenging) This is my favorite so far in my cake adventures.
My friend liked my first cake so she gave me a napkin and a plate for her baby shower and asked me to make a cake to match. This is what I came up with. The giraffe and the plaque are gumpaste and I "painted" the fondant giraffe and zebra print with gel color and vodka. I think it's a bit streaky so if you have any suggestions on how to make it look more even please let me know. The color came out much better on the gum paste than the fondant.
WASC cake with fresh strawberry filling, vanilla buttercream frosting, and fondant. I have no experience so please don't laugh. Any tips or suggestions are welcome.
