Carousel Cake
I made this cake for my daughters 5th birthday. She loves horses and I'm not sure I was ready for a horse head cake that she originally wanted! This carousel cake was the next best thing though. I used the carousel cake maker from Wilton (I used the horses, poles, and top). I used royal icing to decorate the horses and the carousel. Decorating the horses and top were tedious but very worth it if you want the detail.

Xbox 360 Call Of Duty 40Th Birthday Cake
I made this cake for my husbands 40th birthday. He's an XBOX player and especially a Call of Duty pro! I know I'm missing a little more detail like the black/gray sides but I only had a day to do this and didn't realize I ran out of black coloring until I needed it! So this is the best it got. Everything is edible except the paper sleeve for the game case. The game case is made of a solid piece of fondant.

Tinkerbell And Friends Cake
I made this cake for my daughters 4th birthday. The bottom is a square sheet cake covered with fondant and the mushroom is made from the Wilton giant cupcake pan! You just invert the bottom and carve a little off to make it into a mushroom form. The mushroom is also covered in fondant. All the flowers and grass are made from gum paste.

Dinosaur Volcano Cake
I made this cake for my son's 4th birthday. I used 6 cakes stacked on top of each other with the top being vanilla and the bottom chocolate then carved out my volcano form. I used a cake "topper" that has a motion sensor and the dino pops out of the cake if someone passes by! I carved out a spot at the bottom for the dino too. I then covered the cake in home made bettercream (not buttercream) then crushed oreo's. I used fake plants for the foliage and and rocks to put around the base of the volcano. The lava is dyed cookie icing that has been dripped on to make it look like its flowing then on top of that I put edible glitter writing gel. Voila!
