A special retirement gift.
A woman's favourite childhood story. A great Canadian Clasic. This was made by baking a 13 X 9 inch slab cake and cutting it in half, then stacking the 2 halves on top of each other. The cover is fondant with a rice paper photocopy of the book cover.
This cake was designed to replicate a logo that this cancer survivor had designed while being treated. The cake was for a party celebrating her successful journey!
The concept for this cake was taken from Maisie Parrish's Fun & Original Character Cakes. What fun it was to make it!
July 1st is Canada Day for all of us in Canada! Our national colour scheme is red and white!
This holiday cake was made using a 10-inch bundt pan. The cookie mitten spray is supported by a ball of fondant in the centre of cake which is unnoticeable when surrounded and covered by curly ribbon.
2-tiered, white 2-layer cake. Covered in quilted fondant with tiny fondant flowers.
This 18" chocolate layer cake is adorned with baby clothes that were hand made with gumpaste. The "topper" booties were also hand made in pink as "Mom" knew she was having a girl.
This multi-tiered cake was constructed of 2 chocolate tiers (top and bottom) with other tiers being styrofoam "dummies". The colours matched the bride's colour scheme and are depicted with polka dots and cornelli lace in royal icing over fondant.
This 1st Birthday cake was made for a little girl whose favourite toy is her bunny as depicted on the top of the cake. Bunny is made of gumpaste/fondant mixture to replicate the toy itself.
