One of my all time favorite cakes done for a friend at church.
This is the cake I made for my daughter's wedding.
The cake is frosted in buttercream with buttercream borders and side trim. The little baskets are all royal icing as is the topper with royal icing drop flowers.
My first attempt at fondant ribbon. I learned a couple things but the bride and her mom were very happy with the cake. That's all that matters...
Buttercream frosting with different designs on each tier...I thought this cake was interesting and pleasing to look at without being "gaudy" or overwhelming. The bride and bride's mother were very pleased!
