Miss Monkey cake for my Niece's first birthday. Bottom 2 tiers are covered in fondant, top tier (smash cake) was fondant. Monkey topper was gum paste. Bow was created from Royal Bakery's tutorial.
A Sacher Torte covered in fondant with the Ferrari logo replicated for my Italian co-worker. The horse, "S", and "F' were hand cut from 50/50.
This cake is not an original but a compilation of several cakes I saw on the internet - if it's one of yours, please take the credit where it is due! Flowers, turtle, Tiki candles/make are fondant, butter cream/piping gel waterfall and the hula girl is cake with butter cream piping, rock accents are chocolate rocks and Wilton's mini doll pick.
My friends 2-year old is a huge fan of Cars2, so I was tasked in creating a racing cake for his birthday. 3-tiers of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry covered in MFF. Banner and flags were gumpaste
Another cake made for fun and to try out the newly purchased Wilton gum paste kit. Was my first time working with gum paste and chocolate. I made the gazebo entirely out of melted white chocolate. Not too shabby for a first shot I thought :)
11 year olds have the strangest requests. All the characters were made from gum paste and the house was RKT covered in butter cream. This one gave me a chance to try out my new air brush machine (Duffs). Talk about a learning experience with this cake!
