Pink And Black Paris Themed Cake
I have never been to Paris and this is probably the closest i will get to being there. When Cathy (jenn's mom) approached me with her daughter's birthday theme, I got super excited. Another cake off of my bucket list. First time to do all over vertical striped pattern and thank you to Lesley of Royal bakery for posting her tutorial (if i did anything wrong, it's only because i did not read thru the whole thing, which is to be expected of me) I was able to do the stripes so neatly. The cake was the easier part of the order, the macarons were not so cooperative (most likely, it's user error). Loving this theme altogether.

Skylanders Cake Featuring Trigger Happy
This cake was really really fun to make. Alex's mother came to me with a unique idea for her son's birthday. I called it unique because I had no clue who or what Skylanders is. Esther was very kind to provide me tons of images as reference and she did mention that Trigger Happy was Alex's favorite characters from the game. The cake I think is pretty simple. What was most challenging is getting Trigger Happy right. Surprisingly, I especially had fun making Trigger Happy. A little proud moment since this was really something out of my league and I really think he just looks like the real Trigger Happy. Confession: I couldnt help it, I took maybe 20 something shots of him. Cupcakes with the Elemets went in with the cake. Cake and cupcakes were both vanilla and chocolate flavored. :)

Elmo First Birthday Cake
Here is a collaboration of 2 minds. Kristin and I work together and during our breaks, we would talk about the perfect cake for Scarlett! The theme shifted from circus to elmo. Either way, i was happy to work with the theme and happier that I was able to create this for baby Scarlett. Happy Happy birthday sweet sweet scarlett! Vanilla cake with chocolate smbc filling. Cake frosted in ganache and covered in Fondant. All decors were hand cut. (yes i do own a cricut machine but it has been 2 years and it's still in the box) ** a first - 4 in vanilla swiss meringue buttercream covered smash cake. no fondant except for the decors - i almost died. ahahahah thankfully, the upside down method worked for me. Also, sorry for the not so nice piping of the border. I do not know how to pipe much except on cupcakes. LOL

Chevron And Balloon Baby Shower Cake
A shower cake inspired by an invite that had chevrons and a single blue balloon to welcome the newest addition to a friend's family, Ethan. Added a touch of chic by adding silhouettes of mommy and soon to be big brother to the cake vs the traditional figures. :) This cake was a wee bit challenging because I've never done chevrons and it took me way over 4 hours just to make and adhere the chevrons to the cake. Despite the challenges I really like how this cake turned out. Something different from your normal baby shower cake. The cake is an 8 in round vanilla with raspberry buttercream filling.

Ice Cream And Balloon Cake
Lea Rose is celebrated her 1st birthday bash with an icecream and balloon themed party. Her mom had a couple of cakes in mind so combining things she liked about different cakes she has found on the internet and Lea Rose's Invitation, I have come up with this design for her cake. All the little ice creams in the bottom tier were hand cut. :) Bottom tier is non edible and top tier is vanilla cake with rasbperry smbc, covered in ganache then fondant. This is the last cake im going to do before the vacation. I am so happy i took this order in. I have a couple of cakes that i have been dying to make and this one was one of it. So Happy! :)

Jake And The Neverland Pirates
Had to do a couple of redesign before getting this final look for Riley's Cake. Going into the details of the cake. I was a little nervous making Captain hook. I definitely thought that he was going to be a challenge but I really did enjoy making him. Jake on the other hand was the bigger challenge to me...I dont think he looks exactly like Jake but my son saw mommy's birthday cake (thats what he calls it) and said look it's jake. So i guess i passed the test. Bottom tier is Chocolate Banana Cake filled with Chocolate frosting, covered in ganache and fondant. Top tier is actually the twist. Initially not planned to have a 2nd tier but I felt that the cake needed more dimension so i just added the square dummy covered in gumpaste. :)

Miffy Cake And Cupcakes For Aubrey
Call it sacrilege but i did not know miffy was miffy going into this cake project. i just knew she was the hello kitty looking bunny with the x as a mouth but that was all i knew about "the cute bunny with the x mouth". 48 4d cupcakes and a cake later, i now know miffy all too well. :) Enjoyed every minute making these for Aubrey's birthday bash. :) The cake is inspired by Daantjes Tarten and cuppies inspired by Amazing Cake Pops (HK)

Rocking Horse Damask Baby Shower Cake
Another Rocking horse and damask themed cake but this time it is to welcome baby Lily. The cake was inspired by a previous design i had done for but Carla had requested to add a feminine touch to the cake. A touch of ruffle softened the overall look. Definitely inspired by Bakermama

Berry Bird Baby Shower Cake
2 tiered baby shower cake for my friend Katie. I had creative full creative freedom to do whatever i wanted with this cake and I picked to combine things that she loved or was connected with her baby. Katie's shower invites had cherry blossoms in it, she's loved strawberries ever since Ive known her and to bring in the baby factor (and with a little help from my friend) i added cute little baby bird. I made Vanilla Cupcakes and decorated to match the theme as well :) The cupcakes were inspired by Glorious Treats :)

Bella's Littlest Petshop Cake
Bottom cake is strawberry cake with strawberry smbc filling covered in white chocolate ganache. 2nd tier is chocolate cake with nutella smbc and semisweet chocolate ganache. Top tier is made out of styrofoam per mommy's request as a remembrance. The figures are toys. Bella told me she had been wanting the cat for her collection and she was super excited to have these little pets to add to it. Im not sure which cat she was talking about, but i am happy I was able to add at least one to her collection :)
