Fathers Day Cake
Chocolate on chocolate! All made of fondant we used a picture of my friend to put on the computer the cake was for her father....it was supposed to be stripes but that was way to hard im new at this this was my third cake. I had yo make the circles so think because my fondant wrinkled and creased on the cake and also because they kept stretching when I tried to pick them up.....i think maybe if I cut them then waited to lift them if it would have been easier to work with. Now clue on how to prevent the creases and wrinkles when laying the fondant over the cake i don't know what causes that to happen....tfl

2Nd Fondant Cake
This is my second attempt at using fondant I tried a two tier I think it came out okay except I noticed the fondant had tiny little cracks all over it I think maybe because it was a little dry from working it so much. Also the cake was not to tall but it was incredibly heavy. I'm not sure how I could make the cakes lighter. My exploding stars were a little pathetic. I wonder how everyone gets the thin floral wire to stay so straight. Also how do you get colored fondant to not look dried out after rolling it out on powdered sugar? Thanks for everyone advice and tips!

1St Fondant Cake
Vanilla cake with Swiss meringue buttercream and store bought fondant "duff goldman" fondant. The flowers were made from fondant with the Wilton funny flower cutter and then molded using tools and heavily dusted with pearl dust definitely would not have turned out nearly as well without all the tips I have learned from everyone on cake central!
