Spongebob cake for my daughters 4th Birthday.
This was for my daughters 3rd Birthday- it was a surprise and the first time I've ever done a cake like this (as you can see all 4 out of 5 cakes i've made are in my pics). It was tough! lol- my daughter loved it so that is all that matters. It was copied from Debbie Browns cartoon book- I gave up on the wood like base and just left it buttercream lol. I was happier with Jerry than Tom- covering a ball in fondant is hard, not to mention he had some sagging issues, i guess because of the heavy accents (cheeks etc). I'm learning every time I make a cake though!
3 tier polka dot cake- colors and flavors (white cake w/ chocolate ganache) chosen by the birthday girl. This is my 4th fondant cake overall. I am still learning, so be gentle! lol
Stacked book cake for my cousins Graduation Party. My 3rd fondant cake overall. They always turn out better in my head, go figure. lol. I didn't do everything I wanted because I basically ran out of time. I had a tough time with the tappits (funky letter) so I decided to hand pipe the book titles and Congrats message. For my next cake I need to plan out my timing way better- this rush job stuff just doesnt work for me!
