Tangled/ Rapunzel Tower Cake
So many tangled cakes out there.... but my customer wanted one made entirely out of cake as she had a lot of people to feed (didn't ant a tall, skinny tower base, actually wanted a 2 tier cake with top tier as the "base). So sad when the tower top fell off on arrival, but they were so lovely and grateful that they really didn't mind! (phew!)

Princess Castle On Cloud With Rainbow
I have seen a couple of these on here and my daughter wanted a castle cake, when I showed her some of these she LOVED them! She said "I want a pink castle with pink cake"... so I iced the castle in pink, with pink buttercream underneath, and a pink vanilla cake. The cloud is choc mud with cupcake heads to form the bumps. The cloud was very hard for me to ice... but I am pretty happy with the outcome...even though it's not perfect :)

Christmas Cake For Daycare Teachers
I made this cake for the christmas party at my son's daycare. The people are his teachers which i made from fondant mixed with tylose pwder. Unfortunately, with 60-odd children around, it didn't look like this for long... had finger prints, holes, the ribbons got squashed, the shoes were pulled off the man etc! ha ha! The cake inside was a coconut cake and sooooo delicious!

Slight Disaster Of A Harry Potter Cake
This is the 3rd cake i have made... I had nothing but trouble making this one! The weather was not being kind to my icing, i had made the Harry figure 2 weeks ago to make sure he set hard, but he didn't fit in the spot i wanted him to go so i had to cut into the top layer so he could sit there...then duh...that made the top layer start sinking! Any way... it is actually for my husbands little sister who is graduating high school... and she loves harry potter! My first thought was i wanted to wrap the scarf around the base... but there were no examples on CC of that! So i just gave it a whirl! I used Lorraine McKay (Aine2) 's face tutorial for my harry.... it is only my 1st attempt at it, so hopefully i improve on that! ENTIRELY edible, all figures are fondant with added tylose powder to make them set really hard.

1St Attempt At Roses...
I have recently fallen in love with cake decorating! I have made 2 cakes and a cake topper, and my next quest was to make roses. I think i found the easiest way to make roses on you tube, posted by "MrsChocolate Tube"...Involves a piece of fondant the size of a golf ball and a zip-lock sandwich bag! Too easy. For some reason, they actually look different in the pic... maybe because i zoomed in so far. I need more practice rolling the fondant thin enough for nice looking leaves.

Baby Boy/ Baby Shower Cake Topper
My first cake topper.... I'm new to the "cake game" and so i am just practicing! I was happy with how this little guy turned out... I just used fondant and added tylose powder to the body to make it really hard/ hold its shape. I wanted other details more relaxed, so they are just fondant and they have set hard where they fell. Can't wait to make more...

Toy Story & Rocket Cake
This is my 2nd attempt at a fondant cake. My son couldn't decide between a rocket cake or a toy story cake, so he ended up picking a "toy story cake with a rocket on top". Buzz layer is dark choc mud cake and the woody layer and rocket are raspberry swirl cake. I made the rocket in a tin can (from a tall tin of pineapple juice... Not sure if that is an Australian thing??) and it turned out well. I had so much fun making this cake, and a HUGE thank you to all the toy story cakes on here...you gave me so much inspiration!!!

My 1St Fondant Cake For Baby's 1St Birthday
I was so excited when I finally put the finishing piece on my very first fondant cake! I couldn't believe i did it! It was for my baby's very 1st birthday. Bottom tier is choc mud, top tier is vanilla. Both covered in choc buttercream, then covered in fondant. No such thing as "vegetable shortening" in Australia, so i couldn't try any od the fabulous buttercreams that are based on that, but what i made turned out really yummy. Trees and owls cut free hand, flowers using cutter and choc fondant buttons and pink edging ribbon made with the wilton fabric silicone mold. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS MADE A VERSION OF THIS CAKE ON HERE! I fell in love with the original, and have loved seeing everyone's interpretations.
