These cupcakes were made for the 2011 Buckeye Sweepstakes Arabian and Half Arabian Horse Show. The horse matches the logo for the show (horse is made of fondant and rose garland from buttercream). The actual cupcake is Red Velvet with Cream Cheese frosting airbrushed blue with silver sheen.
This birthday cake was so much fun to make! The birthday girl is a 5 year old who would rather play with Godzilla and Mothra than Barbie. I knew I'd have a blast and this was actually my first cake I was paid for. I tried getting better pictures with actual equipment but alas, I forgot to check for a memory card! I tried several different techniques for this cake...the topper is made from pastillage, boarder made from modeling chocolate and the ghosts, bats, tombstones, spiderwebs and trees are all made from piped chocolate.
