A huge Thank You to Cakes by Dusty for encouraging me to try to replicate her fireman cake, of course hers is perfection. This is exactly what my nephew asked for, a firetruck, fireman, and fire dog-- soo cute turning 4 and already making requests. Im very happy with how it came out-- wish I had not messed up the ladder on the truck - but Matthew didn't notice. Thanks Dusty!!!

Cuppies made for a Baby Shower- I made jumbo and regular sizes. I also made 70 cookie favors - no pics of those as I was still bagging them as my cousin pulled up- ugh. I'm so mad at myself for that because they came out so good.

One Direction- Aka 1D
One Direction birthday cake for my niece- I had no idea who they were- ha I must have been living under a rock- 8 inch square- covered in fondant- "the guys" are made from gumpaste- I wish I had paid closer attention to their necks- they look like they have goiters ha-- Inspiration taken from various posted 1D cakes- thanks for those guys , as I would have had no idea who they were- :)

Phantom Of The Opera
Cake made for my niece's 14th birthday- Phantom is her favorite Broadway play. It is an 8 inch red-velvet with vanilla buttercream- black fondant and red fondant rose (added tylose)- I used a mardi gras mask covered with plastic to mold the Phantom's mask- I realized too late that I should have cut the mouth/lips out- I still like the way it turned out though

Homer Enjoying The Jets Game
I made this cake for a friends 40th birthday- his favorite things- The Simpsons and The JETS-- I knew I couldn't get the exact likeness of everything so I decided to make it very cartoonish- couch, tv and floor are cake - Homer, beer cans, rug, telephone and table or fondant- Weird thing is--- I was out with the Executive Producer of The Simpsons in NYC the night before this cake was due- she got a kick out of it- ha

White Iphone With Box
This cake was made for a 13 year old who would be getting the white Iphone for his birthday. Two 9x13 funfetti with fondant covering- all apps and logo hand cut from gumpaste/fondant. My son has called this the American version of the Iphone- its a little thick around the middle, funny.

Burger And Fries
This is the first cake pic I am posting- Im nervous! Ha. I made this cake after viewing the how-to video from My Cake School- thanks Mellissa. Cakes are 8 in yellow and fries (lightly toasted) and a 9 in chocolate for burger- buttercream frosting with modeling chocolate condiments. I dry dusted the shading as I do not own an airbrush (yet)- probably would have looked better with an airbrush- the lettuce was much greener in person- not sure why it has a blue tone in pics- I also made ice cream cone cupcakes that were a disaster by the time I arrived at the party- they kept tipping over- ugh!
