Here's my final cake from Decorating Basics. I decided to go with some bright flowers since I did a chocolate buttercream, so they would really stand out. I also did the base of the roses in different colors to add a little more dimension.
I made this cake at home a few days after the class when I made the cupcake cake. It was too hot and humid for the buttercream to crust, so I couldn't smooth it too much.
