all buttercream
My first time to decorate with homemade MM fondant. The cards are made of royal icing.
Buttercream cake with fondant decorations
Half vanilla, half chocolate cake. Found image online and traced with piping gel onto cake. Filled in with small grass tip. Used candies for the sides, and added Elmo rings to the corners of the cake. Can't remember the tip # for the border, but thinking #12.
Covered in fondant with fondant border and swags. The flowers are done in buttercream using a paintbrush.
I used tip 8 to make balls as a border and I bought the pearls online. I used tweezers to get them in and I haven't figured out how to not show the marks on the side.
Fun with fondant!
Royal Icing, practicing color flow techniques
200 Royal Icing Flowers w/Tip 225, Fondant Bow
A 6" square cake I made for my sister who turned 29. I decorated the sides in colored Sixlets to look like candles and then added 2 candles to the cupcake on top.
flowers on grass
Milk Chocolate w/Chocolate Ganache on top
Mom's favorite color is aqua so I made a basket with grass and flowers on it. I couldn't quite get the roping down, so attempted a different style on it.
My first attempt at roses. Not my favorite thing to do, my icing is always too soft.
First time doing a basket weave. Very time consuming, but so pretty when it's done.
