Standing wine bottle was cake, covered in black fondant. Neck of the bottle is RCT. Cheese is cake covered in fondant. The white part of the gouda is modeling chocolate. Cork screw is chocolate fondant on top, gumpaste for the coil, painted with silver highlighter dust. Party was for 2 husbands, one turning 38 the other turning 39.

Frozen Birthday Cake With Elsa, Anna And Olaf (And The Castle, Too)
Frozen cake for twin boy and girl. The only thing the boy wanted was Olaf. The girl, on the other hand, wanted just about everything else from the movie! I cut her off at Elsa, Anna and the castle. The magical spinning snow in Elsa's hand was the last straw.

Monkey In A Pile Of Bananas Cake
Another monkey and bananas cake. This was the same client as the Beyblade cake. This was for her daughter and the Beyblade cake was for her son. They are twins, so both cakes were done at the same time. And like the Beyblade cake, this one, too, was doubled at the last minute. Client suddenly panicked she wouldn't have enough cake, so this, too, was plopped on top of a simple base cake at the last minute.

Minecraft Cake
Minecraft cake for Xander, turning 8 years old. Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, and chocolate ganache (for sharper corners). Each tile was placed on by hand one at a time, on the cake itself. Didn't see the point in doing the transfer method shown in some tutorials, since you have to lay each square and then hope none fall off and hope that they completely cover the side perfectly. Felt too risky. And going one by one right onto the cake gave me control to trim edges of the precut squares as needed. I cut all the squares over several days, so by the time I was sticking them on, it wasn't as nightmarish as you'd think. I just put on the TV and got to work, and did 3 sides per sitting. Top was the hardest part, as noted in the photo from above.

Dinosaur Cake Featuring Triceratops And Trex
Dino bodies are RCT, but head, legs and arms all fondant (with gumpaste). All other decorations fondant. This was not one of my favorites. Cake was too small for the size of the dinos and the colors and scenes on the side were not really my taste but client requested details on the sides. I would have preferred something more simple.
