I made the sling shot and wood out of modeling choc. The birds are cupcake toppers. My daughter insisted on having birds that she could play with for a long time. Saved me hours!
The bottom tier represents Philly sports teams, the top is a golf course.
This was a fun cake! For a surprise 30th birthday, held at a golf course.
This cake was made for a retiring police officer who was given an award for Officer of the Year. Fondant/gum paste was used to create the motorcycle and I used chocolate molds for the handcuffs and badges, then painted them.
Made for a bridal shower.
I made these for my daughter's birthday.
Made for a "Night at the Movies" themed basket party.
My first topsy turvy cake. I managed to pull if off after watching MANY videos and reading lots of forums.
This was my 3rd fondant cake. MANY hours were spent but it was well worth it! Everything but the figurines are made from fondant. The pillows and blocks are rice krispie treats covered with fondant. Looking back, I should have used gum paste for the head/foot board.
This was my first attempt at a 2 tiered cake. Not bad considering I've been making small fondant cakes for only 2 months.
