Neon Birthday
A cake my sister wanted to surprise her friend with. The top and bottom tiers are chocolate, the middle tier white, with homemade buttercream to cover the whole thing. Not perfectly stacked because it was my first attempt at 3 tiers. However, it did hold up just fine, so good news for that.

Dad's 60Th
A cake for my dad's (surprise) 60th birthday party. He's a crane operator, so I piped a bunch of cranes around the cake. Rather than go for a cutesy construction look, I drew silhouettes of cranes that his company actually uses. The cake is chocolate with buttercream icing, airbrushed and then piped with chocolate buttercream that was colored black. There is no topper because my sister provided candles at the party.

My Little Ponies
A cake for my boyfriend's brother's birthday. My first time trying to make any 3d figures. Next time need to add more gumpaste and/or use fondant that dries faster. Cake is a white cake base that has been rainbow-colored, covered in home-made vanilla buttercream with buttercream piped designs. Fondant ponies and rainbow. There are things I will do different and better next time, but I began to run out of time because I was fighting with the ponies for so long (initially I wanted to have more than 2 ponies, but the two look pretty good).

Zebra Mommy Cake
My sister absolutely loves zebra stripes, so I made this cake for her for Mother's day (of from her son, but he's only 3, so Aunt Emmy helped out a bit). Devil's Food cake with raspberry puree filling, covered in white buttercream. Zebra stripes and the pink border and heart were made from fondant.

Griffin's Volcano
This is actually a small cake, made from two 4" rounds. The customer wanted a personal cake for her son's birthday and we setteled on a volcano to go with the pirate/island of treasure theme of the party. The volcano is white icing, airbrushed in various shades of brown. The "lava" is a strawberry glaze that we often use as filling.

Orange And White Hibiscus
I did this cake a couple of months ago, working at Walmart. The customer had brought in a picture of a stacked fondant cake and wanted to match it in a sheet cake as best we could. I don't honestly know where the original comes from. Everything was hand drawn, no stencils or anything of the sort. I wish my manager would let me do more custom orders, but she frowns on anything that takes longer than a couple of minutes (even though this really didn't take that long) or anything that the customer wants to be hand drawn/piped. Still, I'll do them in from time to time.

Pink And Black Skull Cake
Did this cake for a friend. This is not my original design - she came to me with some pictures she'd found on the internet. After some searching I believe the original design came from http://sweetcakesbyrebecca.blogspot.com/ which I altered a to suit their needs. The cake is marble with chocolate buttercream, covered in fondant and then piped with buttercream. This was my second fondant covered cake. All of the piping and lettering is hand drawn with no stencil or guide.

Super Mario Bros 3 Angry Sun
For my boyfriend's birthday, he wanted a cake with the sun from Super Mario Brothers 3. (Everybody hates that sun). This was my first time fully covering a cake in fondant, and it got a little not-so-great in some areas around the side, which I was fortunately able to cover up with the side decorations. Cake is German chocolate with a coconut-pecan frosting filling, iced in chocolate and covered with fondant. Decorations are all fondant except for the black lines (chocolate bc tinted black) and the bits of white (white bc).
