Paula's Retirement Cake
Mar '12. Vegetable garden cake I made for a lady who is retiring at work. She is a very well known vegetable gardener and LOVES her B&W chihuhua :) The vegetables are mostly made from fruit tootsie rolls but also a few starburts and jolly rancher chews. The fruit tootsies were def the easiest to mold but with warm hands they became very sticky very quickly!

Mary's Retirement Cake
Mar '12. A co-worker was retiring and I was asked to make her cake. She was very family oriented which is why I chose the family tree. I found out she had 4 kids (hence 4 branches) + 12 grand kids with 1 more on the way. The girl grandkids are represented with the large flowers on the branches, the boys with large leaves. The baby on the way is represented by the egg in the nest :)

Superbowl Xlvi
Feb '12. This was my first detail oriented cake. I was quite proud of the finished product considering I am still new to all of this :) Cake base was half white (tinted blue) and half red velvet then swirled together. Frosting is buttercream. I did most of the decorations using ziplock bags with tiny corners cut out due to the dept of the detail.
