Nyc Skyline Cake
Someone asked me to make this cake for her husband, it was supposed to be the skyline of NYC because she was surprising him with a trip to NYC for their 15th anniversary. Isn't that a sweet creative idea? I wanted to write "I want to wake up, in a city that never sleeps.... with you" on the side, but it looked to busy already and the cake wasn't super tall. How's it look?

Pool Party!
I made this cake for my cousin's birthday pool party. To make the pool I scooped out the buttercream in the middle and filled it with dyed piping gel. The sandy stuff around it is sprinkles. The raft and ropes on the side are peel apart twizzlers, the chain that separates the shallow and deep ends is tic-tacs, the beach ball is a mint colored with food coloring markers, and the rest is pretty obvious. The kids (20 or so teenagers) LOVED it.

Red Velvet Cake With Cream Cheese Icing
This is my 3 year anniversary cake for my boyfriend, I made it in my last Wilton Basics class. The cake is red velvet and the icing is a buttercream/cream cheese mix, which is verrry difficult to get stiff enough. I found cheesecake flavoring to use for next time.

Cake Leftovers Mini Cake
This cake is actually cookie-cutter cut-outs of a leveled cake top. I just took the top piece and cut hearts out of it in different directions so it all came out level when stacked (I got four cut-outs from each cake top). Then I just iced the whole thing with pink buttercream, and because I had made a 2 layer cake I had two mini cakes; one each for me and my boyfriend for Valentines Day dinner.
