This is actually just a store-bought coconut cake. I bought a package of white chrysanthemums and cut the stems really short and then placed them on the cake to form a puppy's face. I added a pompom nose, wiggly eyes and ribbon with Elmer's glue. This was made to look like my mother-in-law's maltese "Harley" for Easter.
Two-tier heart-shaped cake. BC frosting w/ red and pink heart sprinkles. Topper is some sort of centerpiece for Valentine's Day found at Hobby Lobby. (It had a cement/plastic base attached that was covered with metallic tissue paper, but I removed it in order to stick it in the top of the cake.) This is the first cake I've ever made. It was for my twin daughters' 3rd (heart-themed) birthday party in march.
