My First Wedding Cake!
Square, three-tier, WASC cake filled with vanilla American buttercream and covered with ivory fondant. Chocolate fondant ribbons around the base of each tier. The flowers are gumpaste and made according to the Inspired by Michelle peony rose tutorials I found on YouTube. Super-easy flowers that turned out really beautiful! Thanks for looking!

90Th Birthday Cake
Made this cake for my grandmother's 90th birthday party. Direct inspiration goes to sukari and the "Pretty in Pink" cake - thank you for the beautiful (but time-consuming) idea! Top tier is WASC with vanilla SMBC, middle tier is marble with milk chocolate ganache, and bottom tier is chocolate WASC with cookies and cream filling. TFL!

Royal Wedding Party Cake
I attended a party to celebrate and watch the royal wedding and couldn't resist bringing a fancy hat cake! Cake is 6 inches on 10 inch board, all covered in ivory MMF. Rolled roses and fondant/gumpaste drapes. I modeled the design off the beautiful hat an elderly British woman was wearing at church one Sunday. TFL!

Treasure Chest
My 5-year-old requested a "jewel cake" for her birthday, and she also loves the ocean, so we decided on a pirate's treasure chest. Cake is a half-sheet WASC (used confetti cake mix instead of white) cut into fourths and stacked and filled with raspberry buttercream. Lid is RKT, pearls are gumpaste rolled in pearl dust, seashells and starfish are fondant painted with vodka/pearl dust mixture. Jewels are Jolly Ranchers. Coins are plastic, unfortunately, because I couldn't find gold-covered chocolate coins in my town. The birthday girl was thrilled! TFL!

Gerbera Daisy Bouquet
I made this cake for my sister-in-law's 30th birthday. She loves pink gerbera daisies, so I took inspiration from the many "bunch of daffodils" cakes I've seen and made her a bouquet of daisies. I baked a yellow half-sheet cake, cut six 5 1/2 inch circles out of it, stacked them and filled with chocolate buttercream. I carved the top into a dome shape, applied a crumb layer, and added fondant stems (made ahead of time with my clay extruder) and light and hot pink flowers. The fuzzy centers were done with colored royal icing and my grass tip. TFL!

Moon & Stars Baby Shower Cake
Made this for a baby shower we had for a couple in our small group. The mom is originally from Mexico, so I tried to approximate what the baby's skin color would be. Blanket is thinly rolled pink fondant that I fringed with an exacto knife. Moon and stars were cut out of yellow fondant with cookie cutters and attached to cookie pop sticks. Made the bear out of fondant using a tutorial I found on YouTube. Bottom tier is ten inches and top is six. Thanks for taking a look!

Brown & Green Shower Cake With Giraffe
Made this for co-worker of my husband. Bottom is apple cinnamon with brown sugar buttercream, top is yellow with chocolate. Got the shoe template from CC and threw the giraffe in at the last minute after I finally got to see the invitation. Tons of work but the new parents were thrilled and wanted to know how to preserve the giraffe.
