A vintage 1970's VW camper van for a 40th birthday. Cake is a carved madeira, filled with buttercream and jam, and covered in fondant. Details are scored, painted or piped on. The board is fully iced with modelling fondant figure 'fishing' in a glazed pond.
Tall sponge towers supported with a dowel through the centre. Turrets, princess and all modelling in fondant. Creeping plants in royal icing. For my daughter's 11th birthday last year.

This unusual undersea scene was a big hit with my daughter. Shaped sponges, stacked with a dowel through the centre for stability. Covered in fondant. Mermaids, sea creatures and plants all modelled by hand in fondant. A great fun cake to make - imagination run riot!
A puffed-out badminton player, resting after a tough game! Fondant covered sponge, the net is made with royal icing, allowed to dry hard and the attached to chocolate finger biscuits. Racquet is also made with piped royal icing, and painted once dry.
3 Tier British-Style wedding cake, with top tier on 5 inch pillars. Features large wired spray of gumpaste roses, which were made in a deep peach paste and then handpainted with a deep wine shade to give the impression of 'flame' coloured roses.

Gorgeous, magical pink castle perched on a fairytale mountain. Basically a 3 tier sponge, covered in fondant. The castle istelf is a small piece of cake, also covered in fondant. Great for princesses of all ages, and one of my all-time favourites!
A variety of individually decorated sponge cakes for Christmas, with hand-painted, moulded fondant decorations. Each cake is approx. 3 inches square.
Handcrafted sugar roses, dusted with gold lustre dust and steamed. Miniature Fondant covered cake with piped royal icing and satin ribbon trim. Labour-intensive if you have lots to make, but they do look fabulous!

This cake took a bit of carving to get the right shapes, but wasn't as complicated to decorate as it looks! Cake is sponge, covered in fondant, with heart shaped cutters used to provide feathers. A gift for a local Brownie pack.
