The parents-to-be didnt have a name for their little girl yet so they referred to her as "Ladybug". The baby shower host wanted to play off that for the cake. Ladybugs are hand poured candy melts and leaves are fondant.
Cake for an 80th birthday. Took photo before addingg banner with text. First attempt at this type of cake, I would fill it out more next time but came out pretty good for an initial attempt. Fondant/gumpaste roses and leaves. WASC cake with lemon cheesecake mousse filing.
I made this cake for my cousin's surprise engagement party. She LOVES fairytales and her mom wanted something to reflect that. She started crying when she saw the cake! Deep Purple & chocolate brown "present" cake for an engagement party. Cake is red velvet with a cream cheese icing (added a little orange extract for extra depth). Cake is iced in BC with fondant details and bow.
White cake w/ white chocolate-amaretto filling... all fondant. There is quilting on top tier but not really visible from angle of photos. The bride saw a similar cake and this was as close as I could get to it (I have only been doing cakes for about 6mos)
