Triple Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. 8" and 6" tiers. Made for a local block party with an autumn theme. I was finishing up before running out the door, so I didn't get to finish accenting the leaves with the brown petal dust....over all though, I'm happy with the outcome. TFL
This was for a friend who's leaving soon, and her birthday is on Cinco de Mayo. Coconut cake with a hint of lime and coconut lime buttercream.
WASC 8 inch base, 6 inch round, MMF. Mexican is fondant except for the flat part of the sombrero...fondant was too soft to hold the shape, so I cut out a circle from a paper plate and covered it with the fondant. I really like how this turned out. Wife wanted the "sleeping mexican" everything else was up to me. :) Creative Freedom is the bomb! haha
White chocolate cake with raspberry filling for the Death Star. Base "sky" is coconut with coconut lime filling. If you look closely, you can see the "Happy Birthday" written in the metal of the Death Star.

Made for the local high school's Cheerleader banquet. Mixed chocolate and vanilla layers with white chocolate ganache and MMF.
Made for a 1st birthday. I thought blocks would have been super simple to complete...not really the case! Took me longer than I expected and the sides of the blocks are not as neat as I had hoped they would be.
this cake was pushed up a day and I had to rush to get it out....wish I had had more time to plan better and allowed for a longer, more sculpted neck. Birthday girl and mom were happy with it...I just know it could be better.

Bottom layer is Mochaccino chocolate chip with ganache...top is carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. MFF accents. It was the wife's idea to put "Hun-Bun" instead of his name.
2nd tank cake I have done. I love the lusterdust to make it look metal.

Carved from WASC. Legs are RKT covered in buttercream and MFF. Wings are MMF supported by thin straws. Red is painted on.

My daughter's 6th birhday. Apple Pie cake with cherry pie filling and a cinnamon buttercream icing. Cupcakes are white cake with cake batter icing. She came up with all the flavor combos...gotta love the taste buds of a child! :)

Chocolate chip cookie cake, with chocolate chip cookie dough filling, milkchocolate buttercream and store bought chocolate chip cookies for decoration. This was a big hit with the "Cookie Monster" birthday guy! :) The cupcakes were for my daughter's class, but they matched, so I put them together here :)

WASC with vanilla buttercream and MMF. Dog tags are modeling chocolate. This is a very popular theme around here! This cake was a pain in my butt from start to finish! I started off with fondant covering the whole board, but it ended up looking like a hat with granades on it..lol Also, I was in a rush to get it done and didn't let it set before putting the fondant on and the middle oozed as I was trying to deliver it...luckily (?) the mom didn't show up and I was able to come home and redo it...before she came later (midnight!) to pick it up.....the last picture is the before. It's much better after, I think :)
This is kinda put up as a joke :) We were going to be on vacation on my husband's birthday, so as I was making other cakes, I threw this together for him...sweet, huh? LOL Our families always get the short end of the stick it seems! haha -- WASC cake cut in half, filled and topped with carmel sauce, chocolate sauce, whipped cream and crushed butterfinger pieces....sort of Paula Deen's recipe, sort of just throwing what I had together ;)
Nurburgring is a race car track in Germany. This was the very specific request from the wife for her husband's birthday cake. I believe she took him to the track for his special day. Her inspiration was another cake, but I do not know who to give the credit to, so if you did a cake similar to this one, thanks :) 8" rounds, Paula Deen's Butterfinger cake recipe and MFF. Car is RKT covered in buttercream and MFF.
