Njrotc Naval Ball 2014
This cake was for my daughters last ROTC Navy Ball (she is a senior this year). I decided to go out with a bang! I think this was my heaviest cake to date. The theme was "A Knight Under the Sea". The mermaid were made out of gumpaste and mmf. The coral and fish were modeling chocolate. The 6" and 8" cake were vanilla cake with white chocolate buttercream and raspberry filling. The 10" and 12" (double barrel) were chocolate cake with oreo filling and white chocolate buttercream. All the cakes were covered in mmf. I airbrushed the waves for some depth but you can't see it in the pictures Also put a pearl sheen on the cake. The 6" was covered in sanding sugar and non perils. Thank for looking!

Seahawks Birthday Cake
This is the second of the three cakes I made for the family January birthday party. Gavin's cake is 6" chocolate with Oreo filling, vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream and covered with mmf. The football is rkt covered with mmf. The logo is non edible. I wasn't quite ready to tackle the logo. But it pealed right off the fondant.

Sledding Snowmen
I made this cake for my office party. It was an 8' yellow cake with Bailey's, mini chocolate chips, white chocolate ganache and covered with mmf. The snowmen and sleds are mmf and the trees are sugar cone covered in mmf and the snow is royal icing. Thank you to Melissa from mycakeschool.com for the great tutorial.
