Polka Dot Belly Cake
Belly cake I made for a friend's baby shower. I used the Wilton Soccer Ball mold for belly and 2 pyrex 10 oz prep bowls for the "boobs". I had to carve the shape of the boobs to make them look more round. Covered in Fondx fondant using The Mat from Sweetwise; love that thing!. Fondx is the best fondant I've found, so smooth and tastes great! Used Tappit Cutter Funky Letter sets to cut out lettering (cheapest from Amazon.com) after adding a bit of Tylose to the fondant. The cakes were made using the Durable Cake for 3D and Wedding Cake recipe here on Cake Central. Used Buttercream Dream frosting (recipe on CC) to crumb coat cakes.

Baby Shower Cupcakes
Made these cupcakes for a friend's baby shower. The ducks were done using a chocolate mold and the flowers are made from gumpaste, cut with a gumpaste cutter/press. The faces were made from gumpaste also, cut with a decorating tip. Then I drew on thier faces with edible markers.

Square 2 Tier Bc With Calla Lilies
I made this cake for my friend's wedding. She wanted a small cake for cutting as they served cupcakes to the guests. She wanted something very simple and with her wedding flower, calla lily. The callas are gumpaste using Edna's tutorial. My first try! Edna is fantastic! For the stems, I added a small tube base at the calla with gumpaste and let them dry overnight. Then added the wire wrapped stem at the desired length using the additional base as a starting point. I bought fake onion leaf and added them in to the wrapping. They had a small wire already in them, so I curled them a bit like curling ribbon. The cake is the ?Durable Cake for 3D Wedding Cakes? recipe here on CC. This cake always gets fantastic reviews from everyone who tries it. I made this one marble at the bride?s request. I used a 9? square and 6? square, 2 layers each. (Edna also has a great tutorial on how to cut your cake level, frost with sharp edges and stacking) The frosting is Buttercream Dream (also on CC). I used the paper-towel method to get the fondant look. I wasn?t happy with the border, but it?s what the bride requested. It?s just BC colored and piped on using #5 tip.

Little Mermaid Ariel Cake
I made this cake using the Wilton Wonder Mold sitting on a 9x13, double thick. I used buttercream to cover the entire cake and then a crushed vanilla wafer//brown sugar mixture for the sand effect. The mermaid tail was made with Wilton Fondant (tastes horrible). The shells and stars were molded melted chocolate candy dusted with shimmer. I used the Barbie version of the little mermaid doll and took off the tail before putting in the cake. I covered the bottom in plastic and attached dowel to her to help her stay in place. The little girl that I made this for was so excited and made a huge hit.
