This was a fun and challenging cake to make! Freddys sweater, his skin, glove and the classic Johnny Dep scene. The blood is a poured sugar recipe that was spooned onto a thick dowel rod upside down....if that makes sense!
The glove is all edible. Dusted the glove itself with cocoa powder to give it the leather look. The rest is dusted with luster dust.
Birdhouse is gingerbread covered in fondant so it could be kept as a keepsake. The apple blossoms are fondant with tylose added. Bluebiirds are also fondant. 12 and 10 inch cake covered in homemade MMF. My wonderful dad cut the tree stump to use as a pedestal :)
My 12 yr old daughter wanted to surprise her friend with a small birthday cake. Which by the way is a HUGE Legend of Zelda fan. So we worked on this project together. Kept it simple...a 6inch with her name in the Zelda font. My daughter worked on the bush/ triforce cupcakes :) She is excited to give it to her tomorrow :)

I made this cake for my daughter. It represents all her accomplishments in school. A childhood favorite was Dudley the Dragon and her school mascot was a dragon so it worked perfectly! I also incorporated the dbl siver cord- Magna Cum Laude, Tri colored cords- National Art Honor Society, blue & yellow tassel- National Honor Society, Thespian Society, Varsity Swim, and Choir :)

This is the biggest cake I've made to date. It sits on a 2 ft by 4 ft board. Consists of gingerbread, cake, ice cream cones, a batch of RKT and about 80 pounds of fondant! A week of prep, a week of making and 100 hours later....Oh! and I wanted to add that I never seen any of the movies nor read the books so I had a few days of researching and figuring the layout :)

Made this for my mother in laws birthday. She adores penguins! 14inch round...one half of the wilton ball pan for igloo....penguins/fish are fondant....pond is piping gel...sugar cone trees. Fairly easy....but 18 penguins took some time!

I made this for my nieces 5th B-day. The tower is rice crispy treats, and upper part of ice cream cone where the tower and housing meet. Used fondant and gum paste on tower all windows and decor held together with royal icing, Cake was strawberry with strawberry icing covered in fondant.
I made this for my daughters 17th birthday. I wanted to incorporate a few of her favorite animals into it, so I added a manatee, armadillo, narwhal, salamander, and moose along with the 3 monkeys. Made the animals from gum paste, cake covered in MM fondant
My moms surprise birthday cake for tomorrow!! butter cream frosting with gum paste flowers...no fondant this time :) I'm terrible at smoothing, I think this is the best I've done so far....practice, practice.
