Oversized Pocket Watch
This cake actually tells accurate-ish time! Used two different clock works to make the main part and the seconds hand. Made this for my grandpa's birthday (he's an avid clock collector). French vanilla cake with raspberry filling and covered in white chocolate. Clock face is handpainted gumpaste and the rest of the pocket watch is covered in fondant painted with edible gold "paint"

Doggy Destruction!
This cake was made for a man who was looking for a cake for his wife's birthday. His wife is absolutely in love with her dogs so we designed this cake to look like her puppies got into a little trouble and destroyed some of her "gifts". It's a white cake with chocolate buttercream filling covered in ganache and fondant. Puppies are gum paste as well as the other decorations. I found out how hard it is to make something look destroyed when most often you work so hard to make everything look perfect =D

Shark Graduation
This cake was for a girl who just graduated from high school and was accepted into a marine biology program for college. Her favorite sea creatures are jellyfish so we tried to incorporated them in somehow. The jellyfish are made from colored isomault sugar poured over pressed sugar. The cake is a cannoli cake with a chocolate cream cheese frosting. Shark was hand painted. Water is royal icing with a layer of colored piping gel.

3Rd Birthday Piston Cup Cake
A very much Cars inspired 3rd birthday cake for my step-son. Tallest cake I have made (It was close to 3ft tall" and my first time airbrushing. I constructed the support out of pvc. The tires are a vanilla cake with a chocolate fudge filling and the base of the piston cup is raspberry cake with a lemon cheesecake mousse filling. The cozy cone motel and top of the piston cup are RKT. The entire cake is covered in MMF and airbrushed. The base was airbrushed and graham crackers that were crushed by the birthday boy (he had SO much fun smashing them) were added to make the dirt track look like a J. The wings on the piston cup ended up a tad wonky (darn gravity) but all in all it was a big hit for the birthday boy and everyone else at the party.

Mini Rudolf Cupcakes
I made these mini cupcakes for my son's school Christmas Party. Used chocolate covered pretzels for the antlers, upside down mini chocolate chips for the eyes (they looked silly with the points facing up) and a small red hot for the nose. The kids loved them and since they were mini the teachers were happy to not have them get totally hopped up on sugar!

Jack Skellington
After making my first cake for my son's first birthday I became addicted and decided Jack Skellington was a perfect cake for my mom's 50th birthday party. She's a big Nightmare Before Christmas fan and it was a huge hit. It was a red velvet cake and I made a tinted grey cream cheese filling for the cake which added to the effect. I painted the face details with melted black frosting as well as the drips down the side. I used 3 different purple fondant shades to make the quilted look on the side of the cake and went for the drippy look instead of a neat quilted look due to the nature of the cake. This was my first attempt at bows which is why there are only 2 small ones on the side which I made with some leftover purple fondant. Needless to say the cake was a big hit.

Wonder Pets First Birthday Cake
I've always wanted to try to make a cake decorated with fondant so I decided to make this Wonder Pets cake for my son's first birthday. The figurines are toys but the rest is edible. The "flyboat" is molded rice cereal treats covered in fondant and the wheels are donuts covered in fondant. I used cake graffiti spray to get the bright red and blue and to get the cloud look on the butter cream for the actual cake. I think my favorite part is the marble on top of the mast! I had such a blast making it and plan on making as many cakes as possible for any occasion I can find! I also had some fun and made a matching smasher cupcake for him to have for his very own with an L on it for Liam!
