Mountain Cake
This cake is chocolate with chocolate ganache filling, for an 8th birthday. It was my first shaped cake, there was only an idea there was not a plan, so I dove in a cut the cake (panicked a little as there was no time to make another one and there was no turning back.). So I moved all the triangles around unil I had something that almost resembled a mountain and I covered it in butter cream, and free handed the little dudes and that is what it turned out to be.

Minion Borthday Cake
Minion cake. The base of the cake was chocolate with a chocolate ganache filling (fist time for ganache filling is it suppose to be pretty thick when it sets? I have never had it and have nothing to compare it to). To attach the minion and the other guy I used pasta noodles (the noodles stuck out the bottoms of there feet so I could attach them to the cake and went up all the way threw there bodies). Some of the noodles broke during transport. I would like to know what else I should use besides noodles as it was almost a disaster? I do not really feel comfortable using toothpicks as they are the same width as noodle and I would feel really bad if there were pieces of toothpicks in the cake. Any suggestions?

Strawberry Cake
This cake was made for a first birthday for my cousins daughter. The cake was vanilla with a strawberry filling. Just before this cake was due I severed the tendon in my left thumb, so needless to say I need a little bit of help to ice, and roll out the big piece of Fondant to cover the cake. I think it turned out quite well under the circumstance. I hope you like it.

6Th Birthday Cake
This cake was for a 6th birthday, it was made out of chocolate cake, and covered with a combination of butter cream and fondant. This was the first time I covered a round cake and it kinda squished a little bit and the shapes for the soccer ball pattern were not quite big enough so it was not quite how I wanted it to look.

Nautical Wedding Cake
This cake was for a wedding that took place on a boat, it was a three hour drive from my house to get it there, so I had to assemble it on site (needless to say I was a wreck delivering it as it was my first cake for someone other then family and I had only taken one class that covered how to make fondant and flowers and there are no flowers on the cake). The cake was a carrot cake with a cream cheese icing, covered in fondant. The people, crabs, seagulls etc were out of gum paste. Everything was edible except for the boat and the lighthouse. Let me know what you think.
