I was approached to make a cake in the style of the Anne Geddes photos with the baby asleep on a stack of towels. I hadn't seen anything like this so this is my original design. Just loved making the sugar baby and working out how to make the 'towels' from a square cake and loved the way it turned out.
Yet another version of the much loved "Builder's Bum" cake. My version took into account the tools and toolbelt that Brandon uses in his trade. He LOVES his tools. When his wife came to pick up the cake she exclaimed happily, "Oh it looks just like him!!". LOL
Erin teaches pole dancing and wanted something sparkly, fun and all about herfor her 21st cake. I set about making her sugar figurine and set it upon ythe prettyest cake I could design for her. I just loved this cake and I am happy to say, so did Erin!
This was a competition cake for a state seminar. Unfortunately the frill exceeded the allowable size. Unfortunate but such is the way in competition work. You can be sure I wont make that mistake again.
This 18th birthday cake was made for a young lady who loved chocolate and bright colours. I couldn't resist dressing up the cake platter a little to tie it all together.
I had a lot of fun making this cake for tennis mad Dianne. The net posed a challenge but I got around it with piping a grid pattern onto a piece of rice paper.
The local show themed their Novelty Cake section as Nursery Rhyme Cakes. It was a fun project incorporating a lot of naughty little children up to mischeif all around the cake.

This cake was made for a Mad Hatter themed birthday party. Simply decorated but it came up really well for me.
This was my first attempt at a wonky cake. I had seen a similar design in a wedding magazine somewhere and had a go. I was so specific with planning angles etc to get it the way I wanted it. I was very proud of the end result.
Made around the time of our Race Carnival days. It seemed the perfect accessory to eat. Black fondant and aplique fondant cut outs to create the effect.
Tracey is always lost and late and Sean is always waiting for her. It was the couple's 'story'. This three tiered cake, (chocolate mud cake, white chocolate mud cake and a fruit cake on top) tells the tale. Beautifully finished with cascading white sugar lilies ribbon and filler flowers..
