My son and son-in-law have birthdays 2 weeks a part so we are celebrating on one day so I decided to bake a cake for both of them. My son-in-law is into fly fishing hence the fish creel, Chocolate cake with brownie fish covered in white chocolate clay and painted with food coloring using the vodka method. My son played Angry birds a lot so Angry birds was the theme chosen, Green Velvet cake ( his fav color) and butter cream frosting. The birds are made out of white chocolate clay. The buildings are covered pretzels. ( white ch chocolate clay). The top yellow angry bird really moves on spring mechanism my husband devised. Hope you all enjoy looking at them as much I enjoyed making them.
Bottom layers are chocolate cake with Butter cream frosting and pretzel trees with butter cream leaves. Pool is white cake with a crumb coat of vanilla butter cream, white chocolate clay cement and jello water. Figures and decorations are combination of white chocolate clay and gum-paste.
White cake for 90 people with Butter cream frosting, fresh raspberry butter cream filling. Royal icing flowers. I used the large wilton cupcake for the flower pot and made chocolate clay for the Terra cot-ta color (mixing orange, brown and a little red gel americolors) pans 2 layers 15 in petal pan, 2 layers 12 in round and large cupcake.
Figures were carved (chair) from brownies, girl was made with white chocolate clay and colored. Pictures were printed on edible printer. Cat is made from modeling chocolate, cake it one layer chocolate, one layer white and the top pink layer is a marble cake I got the recipe from a book called Cakewalk, Yummy! The pink layer is butter cream fondant with white chocolate added. Did not want to do the usual black and terror cake for a 50th b day so I made it bright and colorful to celebrate the mile stone. Just some added info. instead of buying more expensive cake tools for hair I bought some play dough tools for 15.00 and it worked, thought the hair got great. Well my opinion. The picture of the little girl is the party girl when she was a baby.

Everything is edible except the toothpick holding up the cross. Decorations are made out of white chocolate clay and butter cream, smoothed butter cream frosting covers the chocolate cake.
A friend of mine for his birthday each year when he was a child his mom would make him hot dog men out of real hot dogs, well he is now in his 30's and I decided to try to make one out of cake, the cake bun is a chocolate cake in a loaf pan cut out to look like a bun with smoothed butter cream frosting. The hot dog is made out of white chocolate clay colored to look like a hot dog. The relish is dyed coconut and the condiments are gel icing.
