Tim Horton's Addict
This cake was for my mother in law who is a Tim Horton's addict. I did NOT have a lot of time to work on this cake and we figured we would just get sent back out to get coffees anyway, so we dowelled and left space for a fresh coffee to be placed on top before showing her the cake. The coffee stain was my genius boyfriend's idea...

Nintendo Ds With Ironman Game
This was a vanilla cake with raspberry sauce, and raspberry-vanilla buttercream. Everything is edible except for the Ironman picture, and the "hinge" between the two screens is a cylinder of tin foil with banana candies. This guy was present for the monkey jungle cake and found a new love for banana candies so he requested they be added to his cake....? It was the only way i could think to incorporate them... haha.

Viva La Taco!
This was for my brother in law who once ate around 13 tacos. I had no choice but to assume he likes them, so this is what he got for his birthday... I only wish i had remembered to wipe icing sugar over the fondant at the end to get rid of the shine. It kind of looks like a giant slice of processed cheese...

Horses And Roses
This cake was the first cake I did after level 1 cake classes. I googled how to make runouts and ended up using colour flow mix for the horses. I forgot to pipe a dam around the vanilla pudding filling, but the cake was still a hit for my neice's birthday. After doing this cake and seeing the look on her face, I was motivated to keep working on my cakes just so I could make cakes for my neice's future birhtdays.

First Fondant Cake
This is the first time I've ever baked a cake from scratch, filled and stacked it, and iced the outside. So of course I decide I'm also going to experiment with fondant too. I found a recipe for marshmallow fondant, and had an idea in my head for my brother in law's birthday. He wants to be a director. He still loves this cake to this day, even though much better cakes have come since this.

Final Cake - Cake Class
This cake was the grand finale in my first cake class. I was pretty proud of it at the time, but now I can almost see in the cake what was going through my head when I made it. (Not really sure how much the colours would end up developing etc). Also - my cakes always turn out tasty, but I can never get them to bake up nice and tall.

Penguins In Cake Class
This is the second cake I made in cake class. - the instructor just told us to bring whatever colours we wanted and wasn't especially helpful in telling us what each consistency of icing would be used for thinking penguins would be a fun surprise, so my colours ended up being pretty weird. I still laugh when I see this cake...

First Cake In Cake Class
This is my first attempt at using piping bags and homemade buttercream to decorate a cake for cake class. I didn't have time to finish in class, so I stuck it in the fridge and planned to do the clouds and write on it the next morning. I accidentally ate it before it as finished.
