Bulldozer Cake
This cake design was taken from an old Mary Ford book, this was really challenging in the fact that it was very structured, i found this fairly difficult. This was for a three year old's birthday so i kept the sponge simple, opting for vanilla and jam/buttercream filling. I used chocolate drops for the 'dirt/gravel' effect.

Keyboard Cake
This cake was made for my friends mothers birthday - i didnt model this keyboard on any particular model i just went with my own image, but i did write the name/type of keyboard she used on thepurple sash across the corner of the board. This again was a vanilla sponge with jam and buttercream. The cake board had to be created using two pieces of wood as the cake was too large for a usual cake board.

Barbie Cake
This cake was made up of four seperate pieces of sponge, with a circle cut out of the centre for the doll to be inserted. This was for my neice and i used her fave doll...she loved this cake. This was for her 4th Birthday so i opted to make the colours over the top and very catoon like, hence why this looks so busy. This was a vanilla sponge, with chocolate fudge filling.

Xbox 360 Cake
This Xbox cake was modelled on the actual Xbox, so all the details are exact, if a little wonky :o) It was for a 9 year olds birthday and i was told that he spent the first ten minutes checking all the details matched his own console!!! It was a vanilla sponge with butter cream and jam seperated on different sponge slices. I found all the little details key on this cake, the air vents, and the little feet really helped to make this pop.

Make Up Cake
This was my first ever attempt at making a 3D cake, this was a vanilla sponge, with chocolate fudge filling. All the make up pieces are made from fondant. Im still really please that this was the outcome of my first attempt, only a year ago. I know it can do with finishing touches but to a beginner i was proud!!!

Bible Christening Cake
This cake was made for my neice and nephews christening!! It is an open bible, with handmade roses in the corner, it was for a boy and girl so i stuck to the traditional pink v blue theme. This was a vanilla sponge with strawberry jam and buttercream. This was also the first time i had piped writing onto any cake, not bad for freehand.

Flower Cake
This was also one of the first cakes i have made. This was the first and last time i used fresh cream as a filling, i found it made the fondant too moist and aided it to tear and rip in some places. This was a plain sponge with strawberry jam and fresh double cream filling. The flowers were made using a cutter, and then turning up each petal in turn.

Rudolph Cake
Excuse the mess on this pic, once again i took a pic before finishing the cake...oh well, hindsight and all that :o) This was the first fruit cake i'd made, i used Delia Smith's receipe, the icing on the top is meant to represent messy snow, as are the messy pipes around the base of the cake. I used a rudolph cut out for the decoration.

American Themed Wedding Cake
My aunty got married in Vegas this year and wanted an elegant wedding cake to match the day once she got back to England. She told me how she wanted the cake and how she wanted the roses to represent the red, white & blue. All three tiers were fruit, covered with marizpan and fondant icing.

Christening Cake
This two tier cake was made for a christening, the only issue i have with the photo was that i took this prior to the cake being finished, the writing wasnt on it at this point, and i hadnt glossed it over with my lustre. The top tier was moist vanilla sponge with strawberry jam and homemade vanilla butter cream. The bottom tier was a moist deep chocolate sponge, with a chocolate fudge filling.

Two Tier Present Cake
The top tier of this cake was moist chocolate sponge, lovingly filled with chocoltae fudge. The bottom tier is vanilla sponge, filled with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream. It was made for a joint birthday 80th & 82nd - so i wanted to keep the colour scheme simple and elegant.
