My First Wedding Cake

My First Wedding Cake

This cake was a lot of first for me. My first wedding cake along with the first time I had ever tried Cornelli Lace. I had several issues with my icing and fondant wanting to melt off my cake. I learned a lot though for instance if you roll the fondant out to thin it doesn't take much for it to melt. I also found that my house has to be cooler than 68 degrees. Duh! But as a newbie i had a dumb moment. Which i learned from. Guess that's all that matters. For the cake I used a recipe that I found on here called WASC which was wonderful and would recommend to anyone. I used Marshmallow Fondant and fresh flowers. However, I should have uploaded a better photo, i noticed i needed a little extra icing on the bottom tier after i took the photo. Another one learned I guess. Please let me know what you think.

Spiderman 3D Cake

Spiderman 3D Cake

This was my very first cake ever! I decided to do a 3D Spider-man cake for my soon to be husband. We couldn't afford paying for a second cake but I wanted him to have his grooms cake so I decided to take a chance and make it myself. It was a hit. I used butter cream icing and a styrofoam mannequin head.
