I made this cake according to a photo of another cake the customer brought in. I am not sure if they found it on this site or not, so I don't know who to give credit to. However, with all due respect, I will at least say this is not my original design, but here is my take on it.
This was done for a memorial party celebrating the birthday of someone recently deceased. They said he really loved his Grey Goose. The label is hand painted with gel food coloring.
This is a freehand copy of an image of a blue dog painting from out of a book. Done with whipped cream icing.
Shark is made of rice krispy treat, sitting on a half sheet of cake, iced in buttercream, decorations in white chocolate, royal icing, and buttercream.
I would have much preferred this cake without the bow on top, but that is what the client wanted.
I originally made a 30 out of gum paste, but it didn't dry due to humidity (love the south) so I have to compromise and made it out of cardboard. Not my style, but it served its purpose.
I threw this together for a coworker in the meat department's birthday
I did this as a freehand cut out and detailing. My only problem was that it was so humid that day that the fondant wouldn't stay dry.
When the client told me she wanted an all animal print baby shower cake, I was stumped on how to make it baby-relevant. Somehow I pulled it off and everyone loved it.
