This is my entry at the National Capital Area Capital Cake Show (NCACS). 1st place ribbon in the special technique category - unfortunately I was the only entry in the category. I used cocoa butter to paint the fondant. I used the tutorial that I founded on Cake Central. Thanks.

This my Angry Birds cake - using many pictures from Cake Central.
My first wedding cake. It has hundreds of blossoms on it. You can't tell from the pictures but the colors of blossoms start as blush on the bottom tier and diminish to ivory on the top. The flavors alternated from vanilla to red velvet for the tiers.

The cake and hat is all buttercream besides the 50/50 fondant gumpaste for the feathers and flowers. The purse is rice treats covered with fondant for a 93rd birthday.
My red pump that I made from a class that I attended given my Collete Peters at the Great Cake Show in Oct. 2013. The shoe box is from a Craftsy class that I took. My friend was really shocked - she is a shoe hoarder.

This is a 77th Birthday Cake for a married couple born on the same day. He likes to play the drums and she likes to sew. The drum set and the sewing machine are made of rice krispy treats and covered in fondant. And the fabric and buttons are gumpaste.
Thanks to a photo on Google Baby showers - I was able to duplicate the Baby Feets Baby Shower cake for a set of twins - a boy and girl. The icing is buttercreme and the decorations are fondant.
