A Birthday Cake For Madison The Birthday Girls Only Request Was That I Use Purple And Turquoise With Pink Accents This Was My First Time
A birthday cake for Madison. The birthday girl's only request was that I use purple and turquoise with pink accents. This was my first time doing zebra and funky roses. I kinda like it!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake
Delicious in flavor and yet a hot mess in detail. I used a PB buttercream for the piping on the side. My first time doing this kind of piping was made even harder by the fact that the BC immediately began to separate as I squeezed on the bag. The solids sunk to the bottom and peanut oil oozed out of the top. Looked goofy. Made a horrible mess. But DELICIOUS!!! :-) The best kind of mistake to make.

The Saddest Elvis Ever
Oy vay. This is without a doubt the worst cake I have ever done. My friend wanted an Elvis cake for a birthday and I decided to do try to do a profile out of fondant cut-outs on top instead of something more my normal style. She was thrilled with it but I'm not a huge fan. Still, it was a learning experience...one not to repeat.

Graduation Cupcakes
For an end of the year celebration at my son's school, I made about 280 cupcakes. Simple vanilla and chocolate cupcakes topped three ways. 1) With a monogram topper for the name of the school. 2) With a 2011 topper in honor of the year. 3) With graduation caps made out of fondant. Had a great time making these and even better time watching the kids enjoy them.
