Snowman
Italian Creme Cake (warning, use wax paper to line your pan to make sure it won't stick! it will not melt or cause a fire and ensures a good turnout on your cake) with buttercream icing (vanilla almond). Simple to make (but very tiring unless you're using the multiple star tip!). No border needed. I found this design in fondant section of another site and knew I could adapt it. I took the photo and using Photoshop, made the photo black and white, found edges and using filters got a basic design pattern. Design was traced to wax paper and transferred to cake (no need to have perfectly smooth icing because you will be covering the whole cake here). The eyes, nose, "coal pieces" mouth and the brim on the hat are piped. Everything else (except the holly leaves and berries) is using a No. 18 star with medium icing. It turned out better than I'd hoped! My fourth cake to make, but it was so easy that I know those who are just starting can do this!

Halloween Theme
This lemon buttercreme cake is easy to make. I looked online for a Halloween theme color sheet and printed it off, traced the pattern to wax paper using white icing and transferred it to my cake. By the time I got to the border, I was a little tired so please forgive the flaws. This was only my third cake to make while taking my intro Wilton course.
