Sydney's 3Rd Birthday Cake

For my Boyfriend's niece. Her theme is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I'm new so it took about 15 hours. Chocolate ASC and French Vanilla SC. Buttercream fondant, VIVA buttercream frosting.

The Baby Announcement

CASC cake with viva buttercream. I got the baby mold from GSA, natch. The decorations are all fondant, or gumpaste, or a combo of the two. My friend asked me to make her a cake to help her announce her pregnancy to her inlaws. As most normal people tend to do, she hates her inlaws and is hoping that by stuffing their faces with cake she wont have to hear them speak as much.

Yellow almond sour cream cake. Saw this mini pan for $2 in a craft store, and thought it was cute! Gumpaste butterflies, textured with sculpy clay mat.

Purple Police Handcuff Birthday Cake

This is a chocolate almond sour cream cake, marbled with a white almond sour cream cake that was colored purple. Frosted in buttercream, with gum paste handcuffs, leaves, key and badge, covered with silver pearl dust. The truffles are because I was going to do a ganache filling, but it set harder than I wanted to deal with, but they were sooooo delicious that I included them. My first order, and for a friend thank goodness, as there are mistakes! For a police officer who loves purple.
