I made this cake for my son's first birthday. I had so much fun doing it, and only my 4th cake using fondant! I got the idea for using spaghetti for the reeds here on CC as well as lots of inspiration from other frog pond cakes. TFL!
This was my 3rd ever fondant cake, over a month in the making and would not have been possible without this forum! It was for my daughter's 3rd birthday and I (and she) was so pleased with it. I am looking forward to more hobby cakes in the years to come... ETA: I did not make the bees or ladybugs, I purchased those over a month ago before I had even had my first play with fondant. For future cakes I am going to love playing with making those kinds of decorations.
My second ever fondant cake for my daughter.
This was my first fondant cake! After playing around with fondant for a while I was dying to actually have a go on a cake. Very simple really using flower cutouts. I learnt a lot about covering cakes, coloring fondant and cutting it etc!
