The request was for a cake with penguins, baby penguins & a polar bear!! Using inspiration from the internet this is what I came up with. A 4 egg vanilla victoria sandwich cake, cut into a 4 layer cake and filled with pink buttercream. I then carved the ice slope into the cake before crumb coating the whole thing. I then covered the whole cake in blue fondant, marbled the offcuts with white to replicate the ice and make the slope, and added white fondant to cover the top of the cake (also cut a whole in this so you could see the blue "sea" below. To finish off I added snowflake sprinkles to make a border. The penguins and polar bear were made of sugar paste with CMC so they hardened, these were attached to the cake with royal icing. I used an italic tapper cutter for the letters.
