This textured buttercream cake was for an outdoor wedding ceremony with a rustic theme. Borders are accented with bands of burlap and rafia. Peonies help to give an extra soft touch. Log cake stand ties in a great earthy feel.
This cake was designed to match the overlapping pleats in the brides dress. A crystal brooch, edible sugar diamonds and silver dragees were added for visual interest, just as on the dress.
